Terms

Last updated 1 October 2026

These terms apply to a business account on Cater Me. They describe the software as it is built today, and the responsibilities that sit with the business using it.

The service

Cater Me provides ordering software for food businesses: online and QR ordering, a table ordering, kitchen printing, delivery dispatch through a courier provider, and a portal for managing the store. The service is provided as software; Cater Me does not prepare, sell or deliver food.

Accounts

  • Each person who uses the account needs their own login.
  • The business is responsible for what is done with its logins, for the accuracy of its store details, menu and prices, and for the staff it adds.
  • Account holders must keep their credentials secure and report suspected misuse.

Orders

  • An order placed through a store’s ordering surface is an order to that business, not to Cater Me.
  • The business accepts, prepares and completes orders, and is responsible for the food, its pricing, its availability and its compliance with food safety and licensing law.
  • Order statuses are set by the business. Times shown to a customer are the store’s estimates.

Payments and payouts

  • Card payments are processed by Stripe. Funds are settled to the bank account the business connects; Cater Me does not hold the money as a balance sheet of its own.
  • Refunds are issued against the original payment and recorded on the order.
  • The business is responsible for its own taxes, and for the fees that apply to it.

Delivery

Where a store delivers, deliveries are requested from a third-party courier provider. Dispatch, delivery status and driver information come from that provider. Cater Medoes not guarantee a delivery time and does not perform deliveries. The courier provider’s own terms apply to the delivery.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the platform to break the law or to send unlawful content.
  • Do not attempt to access another business’s store or data.
  • Do not overload, probe or interfere with the platform except where Cater Me has authorised testing in writing.

Availability and changes

The platform is maintained and updated, and features may change. Where an external provider is used — payments, email, maps or couriers — availability depends on that provider as well.

Ending an account

A business can stop using the service at any time, and Cater Me may suspend an account that breaches these terms. On request, a business can obtain a copy of its own order and menu data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Questions about them can be sent to [email protected].
